The children arrive at the kindergarten between 7:30 and 9 a.m.
|
The day begins with free play time. The children decide what, where and with whom they wish to play. They can, but don't have to, join in a game with the teacher.
By 9 a.m. all children should have arrived at the kindergarten.
Throughout this time children may have breakfast as they wish and then return to their game. The open breakfast is available until 9:30 a.m. and is supposed to be a second breakfast or snack for the children. |
Many hands make light work, so all the children help tidy up after breakfast.
Time for the additional kindergarten activities The children are divided into three small groups according to age. Each group is accompanied by a teacher who prepares suitable activities for the group or goes into depth on the current topic.
Around 12:00 the children help to prepare for lunch. Afterwards the children work together to clean up.
After brushing their teeth, the younger children have their nap in a separate room. Each child has his or her own bed. While the younger children are having their nap, the older children remain in the main room enjoying a story or quiet table activities.
Between 1:30 and 2 p.m. morning children are picked up.
Around 3:30 p.m. whole-day children enjoy a snack together. The children work cooperatively preparing the snack and cleaning up afterwards.
Children who stay in kindergarten for the whole day can be picked up anytime between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
The kindergarten closes at 5:30 p.m.
